1979 – 1996
Mike Tschaar’s heating and cooling experience started in March 1979 when Mike completed his military service. He went to work in the sheet metal shop for a local heating and air conditioning company fabricating and designing ductwork. As his knowledge of the business grew, he began installing heating and cooling systems and soon graduated to become a service technician. In 1985, Mike began serving the greater Abilene, TX, area, including Albany.
1996 – Today
Mike Tschaar Heating & Air Conditioning opened April 4, 1996, with two service trucks and one install truck at 1010 Energy Drive in Abilene, TX. Many of Mike’s customers followed him. Employees and trucks were added as business grew, and in 2002, the business moved to 25 Windmill Circle, where it is today. In spring 2003, the company also began offering blown attic insulation to its line of services.
We're about trying to keep equipment working and customers comfortable within their budget. I'm also very selective in hiring personnel and training them in a way that reflects the company.
